Job summary

Verint Systems Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead cloud-based platform development, design, testing, and deployment. You will work with a global team to deliver scalable solutions using CI/CD and modern architectures, mentoring junior engineers and driving best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering.
• 5 years' experience in design and programming large scale applications through all SDLC phases.
• Proven track record of delivering complex features end-to-end.
• 2 years mentoring mid to entry level engineers and influencing technical direction.
• Strong proficiency in Java (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, JPA/Hibernate).
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, OAuth 2.0/JWT, and microservices patterns.
• Strong DB skills with relational databases and NoSQL exposure.
• 3 years experience with containerized runtimes (Docker, Kubernetes).
• 3 years experience with CI/CD tools (Eclipse/IntelliJ, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory or equivalents).
• Excellent teamwork, self-learner, and strong communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing evaluation (test) of feature design and identify issues or risks in architecture and performance.
• Distill requirements from feature level into implementation tasks.
• Develop features using best practices aligned with product architecture.
• Ensure QA metrics such as unit tests, automation, throughput, security, and performance are met.
• Guide design to meet stakeholder requirements and operational deployment needs.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the team.
• Deliver features with accountable decision making and ownership.
• Review documentation and enable onboarding of new team members.
• Communicate risks and changes to stakeholders clearly.
• Collaborate with partners to build productive relationships within the Verint ecosystem.
• Prioritize defects and scope with respect to release plans.
• Suggest improvements to development processes and tackle technical debt.
