Job summary

Verint Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own the design, development, testing, and deployment of cloud-based platforms and applications. You will work with a global team to deliver robust solutions, following CI/CD practices and mentoring junior engineers.

The role requires deep Java expertise (Spring), RESTful APIs, database knowledge, and experience with Docker/Kubernetes. Strong communication in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering (or similar).
• 5 years of design and programming large-scale applications through all SDLC phases.
• Proven track record delivering complex features end-to-end.
• 2 years mentoring mid to entry level engineers in a cross-functional squad.
• Strong proficiency in Java (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, JPA/Hibernate).
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, OAuth 2.0/JWT, and microservices patterns.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MS SQL, Oracle) and NoSQL (Redis, Elasticsearch, MongoDB).
• 3 years experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or AI features in production.
• Strong debugging skills for performance/memory leaks, multi-threading, and algorithms.
• 3 years experience with source control tools (Git, SVN).
• 3 years experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• 3 years experience with CI/build tools (Maven, Jenkins, etc.).
• Excellent teamwork and self-management.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing evaluation (test) of feature design and identify risks to architecture and performance.
• Distill requirements from feature level into implementation tasks.
• Develop features using best practices aligned with product architecture.
• Ensure product quality with unit tests, automation, throughput, and security.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.
• Lead design discussions with Team Architect and Lead, and communicate risks.
• Ensure stakeholder requirements are met and changes are communicated.
• Support planning, estimates, dependencies, and sequencing tasks.
