Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a hands-on Lead Java Software Development Engineer to join a high-energy team transforming digital pharmacy and health care experiences. You will mentor engineers, drive end-to-end development, and collaborate with clinical/EHR partners using Spring Boot, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in software development lifecycle including ideation, coding, testing and production deployments.
• 7+ years experience with Java, Spring, Junit, APIs using Spring boot and Microservices Architecture.
• 3+ years experience supporting Health care clinical applications.
• 3+ years experience deploying and managing applications in cloud environments (preferably Google Cloud).
• 3+ years experience building and operating large scale distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Be a technologist and work with other Engineers in planning, prioritizing and performing tasks within deadlines.
• Lead, mentor and collaborate with onsite and offshore engineers to deliver use cases and products.
• Partner with clinical product, interoperability, and EHR teams to ensure design decisions and performance optimization.
• Own end-to-end application development & delivery, including production deployment and observability of services for clinical workflows.
• Develop apps/web services and cloud-native apps using Spring Boot, GCP, REST APIs and related stacks.
• Unit testing using JUnit and Mockito; ensure code quality through reviews.
• Build and deploy services using GitHub, CircleCI, Harness as part of CI/CD across GCP/Azure/AWS.
• Monitor health metrics and support production issue triage; uphold security best practices.
• Collaborate with Product owners to align technical solutions with business needs.
• Participate in PI planning and Agile ceremonies; guide distribution of work among developers.
