CVS Health Digital is seeking a Senior Manager – Software Development Engineering to lead a team of software engineers, providing hands-on technical direction, architecture guidance, and mentorship while aligning engineering goals with business outcomes.

This role drives the full software lifecycle, collaborates with Product, Data, Infrastructure and security teams, and guides adoption of modern practices across Java/J2EE, Microservices and cloud environments to deliver scalable, secure

Qualifications

7+ years in software engineering with 5+ years leading projects
7+ years using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka and cloud platforms
3+ years leading cross-functional teams without direct authority
3+ years defining technology strategy and adopting AI/ML, cloud services, automation
Strong expertise in cloud platforms, distributed systems, APIs, microservices and modern practices

Responsibilities

Own the full SDLC lifecycle from requirements to deployment
Collaborate with Product, Data, Infrastructure and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
Evaluate emerging technologies and drive architectural direction
Build high-performing teams through hiring, coaching and performance management
Lead Digital initiatives/digital transformation leveraging Java/J2EE, Microservices and cloud
