Job summary

Roblox is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Builder Tools team in San Mateo, CA. You’ll build interactive, developer-facing tooling for Roblox Studio, enabling thousands of developers to create, test, and ship immersive experiences.

You will define architecture, mentor teammates, and collaborate with UX designers and product managers to shape the future of our application, contributing to a world-class platform for massively multiplayer game development.

Qualifications

5+ years in developing and deploying user-facing applications.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
1+ years of experience with C++ or a similar language.
Strong focus on end-user experience.
Experience with React, Cocoa, or WPF is a plus.
Experience building developer tools like game tooling or editors is a plus.

Responsibilities

Work on interactive tools for Roblox game developers.
Define architecture and reusable tooling frameworks.
Collaborate with UX designers and Product Manager to design ergonomic solutions.
Design and execute on architecture and technical direction for the app.
Own and deliver complex projects from planning to execution.
Work cross-functionally across teams and platforms.
Mentor team members and share expertise.
Define tooling practices, patterns, and strategies.
Contribute to building the world-class engine for multiplayer game development.
