Job summary

Boeing is seeking a Software Engineer – Developer (Mid Level or Senior) to join the Phantom Works Advanced Mission Planning team in Berkeley, MO. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining software for autonomous systems that meet strict safety and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will have a BS in engineering, 13+ years of experience, an active U.S. Secret Clearance (or obtainable), and strong skills in C++, real-time software, and autonomy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required with 13+ years of experience.
• Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Strong background in C++, real-time software, and autonomous/robotics software techniques.
• Experience with Agile development, system architecture, and interface definition.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain non-embedded software throughout its lifecycle.
• Translate customer requirements into software designs.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers.
• Develop use cases and perform architecture trade studies.
• Define interfaces and ensure system integration.
• Conduct unit and integration testing to verify functionality.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Support system and flight testing, troubleshoot issues.
• Create comprehensive software documentation.
