Job summary

Boeing is seeking Experienced Missions Systems Software Engineers – Embedded to join our Mission Systems Software team in Berkeley, Missouri. You will help implement features for safety-critical and mission-critical flight software within an Agile, CI/CD environment, contributing across requirements, architecture, implementation and verification.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of full lifecycle software development in C/C++, Python or Java, and the ability to obtain U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 5+ years of related work experience or equivalent
• Ability to acquire a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (Post-Start)
• 3+ years of full life-cycle software development, modeling, simulation, testing, and/or analysis using C, C++, C#, Python, Java, Ada, and/or Linux

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, tests, debugs and maintains software for embedded devices and systems
• Translates customer requirements into software design for embedded systems
• Builds and writes code for embedded software on specific hardware
• Integrates embedded software with hardware components
• Analyzes and improves efficiency and stability of embedded software systems
• Tests and debugs software for embedded devices and systems
• Advises on software and hardware integration domains
• Tracks and evaluates internal and supplier software team performance
• Performs embedded software project management functions
