Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Missions Systems Software Engineer – Embedded to join the Mission Systems Software team in Berkeley, Missouri. You will design, develop, test, and integrate software for safety-critical flight systems across embedded devices and hardware, working in an Agile environment with CI/CD pipelines.

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 9+ years of related experience, and the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Ability to acquire a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (Post-Start).
• 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience with full life-cycle software development, modeling, simulation, testing, and/or analysis using C, C++, C#, Python, Java, Ada, and/or Linux.
• 5+ years of experience developing, documenting, and maintaining architectures, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software systems.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, tests, debugs and maintains software integrated into embedded devices and systems.
• Reviews, analyzes, and translates customer requirements into software designs for embedded systems.
• Builds and writes code for embedded systems software to run on specific hardware.
• Integrates embedded software with hardware components.
• Analyzes, monitors and improves efficiency and stability of embedded software systems.
• Tests and debugs software for embedded devices and systems.
• Advises on software and hardware integration domains.
• Tracks internal and supplier software team performance to ensure product and process compliance.
