Job summary

Lumen, the trusted network for AI-powered workloads, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design and build scalable software in a remote US role. You’ll work within an Agile Scrum team, delivering production-grade systems and automated tests while collaborating with partners to meet demanding performance and security requirements.

Required 6+ years in software development, strong GoLang/Java skills, cloud experience (AWS/GCP/Azure), and familiarity with Temporal workflows and streaming

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development experience with a CS degree or equivalent.
• Proficiency in GoLang and Java with modern frameworks.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum, testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with Oracle RDBMS/PLSQL and Unix/Linux scripting.
• Strong cloud and microservices expertise across AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and debug software of moderate to high complexity.
• Collaborate with business partners and technical staff to deliver technical solutions.
• Define and implement automated tests with product teams in an Agile setup.
• Document work for transparency and reuse, and participate in code reviews.
• Build production-grade, scalable systems with reliable performance and SLA targets.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects with accountability for outcomes.
