Job summary

Lumen, a trusted network for the AI-powered world, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and enhance software within an Agile Scrum team for high‑performance, scalable systems.

You’ll collaborate with partners to deliver automated tests, robust solutions, and production-grade code. The role emphasizes ownership, accountability, and fast-moving AI‑driven workloads in a remote US setting.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
• 4+ years with a master’s degree.
• Experience with GoLang and Java in production.
• Experience with Temporal Workflow.
• Experience with Oracle RDBMS, PL/SQL.
• Unix/Linux shell scripting experience.
• REST API Services experience is a plus.
• Cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, code, test, and debug new software and major enhancements.
• Collaborate with business partners to meet requirements.
• Define and implement automated tests in an agile team.
• Document work to promote transparency and reuse.
• Build production-grade systems for scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Participate in code reviews and manage concurrent projects.
