Job summary

Lumen is the trusted network for the AI‑powered world, delivering high‑performance connectivity from cloud to edge. This Senior Software Engineer role works in a US‑based remote setting, within an agile team, to design, develop, test, and debug software for AI workloads.

You will collaborate with business and technical partners, implement automated tests, and document work to ensure transparency and reuse. Strong focus on scalable, enterprise‑grade systems and timely delivery is required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development experience with a related degree
• Proficient in GoLang and Java; familiar with Temporal Workflow
• Experience with Oracle RDBMS and PL/SQL
• Strong Unix/Linux shell scripting skills
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and debug new software in an Agile Scrum team
• Collaborate with partners to create technical solutions meeting requirements
• Define and implement automated tests with product developers
• Document work to promote transparency and reuse
• Build production-quality enterprise systems meeting SLAs for scalability and performance
• Participate in code-review process
• Manage multiple concurrent projects
• Show accountability for assignments
