Job summary

Lumen Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and debug software within an Agile team in a primarily US remote role. You will collaborate with product partners to craft scalable, reliable solutions for AI-ready workloads, ensuring high performance and security across cloud and on-prem environments.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in software development, strong GoLang/Java skills, and experience with cloud platforms and testing frameworks.

Qualifications

6+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in Computer Science or related field.
Experience with GoLang and Java in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Strong knowledge of REST API design and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
Familiarity with Oracle RDBMS and PL/SQL, Unix/Linux shell scripting.
Experience with testing frameworks, code reviews, and scalable systems.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, code, test, and debug software in an Agile team.
Collaborate with partners to define technical solutions meeting requirements.
Develop automated tests and ensure production readiness.
Document work for transparency and reuse, and participate in code reviews.
Build enterprise-grade systems with focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.
