Job summary

Veeva Systems is building a new AI-driven platform for Life Sciences, and you will be a founding member of the team responsible for its development. The role centers on owning features end-to-end, guiding scalable design, and shaping an AI-first engineering culture.

You will help grow the codebase and organization from the ground up, with live customers on the platform within the first year and a strong emphasis on collaboration with product and development teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven software development expertise (Production level Python development required).
• Enterprise SaaS Leader: Extensive experience developing high-scale enterprise SaaS cloud applications.
• Scalability Expert: Proven track record of architecting and building high-volume products at scale.
• Open Source Proficiency: Hands-on development experience with current open-source tools and technologies, including Python, Git, FastAPI, Pydantic.
• Mentorship: Proven ability to mentor and elevate team performance, fostering growth and excellence.

Responsibilities

• Own all stages of feature implementation from design and deployment, with daily code contributions using AI assistance.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Development on technical design and problem-solving to deliver great code.
• Rapidly analyze complex problems, identify knowns/unknowns, and accelerate robust solutions.
• Define, promote, and mentor on engineering best practices and AI-assisted engineering.
• Provide comprehensive code reviews for engineers of all experience levels.
• Develop the skills of engineering talent through structured mentorship.
