Veeva Systems is building a new AI-driven platform to transform how Life Sciences companies manage safety, regulatory, and clinical development. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be a founding member of the team, owning features end-to-end and shaping an engineering organization from the ground up.

You will lead with AI-assisted productivity, mentor engineers, and drive best practices while collaborating across product and development to deliver robust, scalable SaaS solutions for live

Qualifications

• 12+ years of proven software development expertise (Production level Python development)
• Extensive experience developing high-scale enterprise SaaS cloud applications
• Proven track record of architecting and building high-volume products at scale
• Hands-on development experience with Python, Git, FastAPI, Pydantic
• Highly driven, flexible, and thrives in a fast-paced startup environment
• Mentorship and leadership of engineering teams
• Strong communication in English
• Unrestricted right to work in the United States (no sponsorship)

Responsibilities

• Own all stages of feature implementation from design to deployment and maintenance
• Collaborate with Product Management and Development on technical design
• Quickly analyze complex problems to accelerate robust solutions
• Define and promote engineering best practices and coding standards including AI-assisted engineering
• Provide comprehensive code reviews for engineers across experience levels
• Develop the skills of engineering talent through structured mentorship
