Job summary

JPMorganChase Bank, N.A. is seeking a Software Engineer III to join a seasoned agile team. You will design and deliver AI-enabled products, own features across backend and frontend, and deploy to cloud infrastructure with LLM/agent integration.

You will build Python services and UI components with React/TypeScript, work with PostgreSQL/Aurora, and apply secure coding standards in a fast-paced environment. Strong collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Strong Python (clean architecture, testing, performance awareness).
• Solid React + modern JavaScript/TypeScript for functional, maintainable UIs.
• Cloud-native development experience: containers + APIs/microservices + at least one major cloud (AWS preferred).
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs and agentic AI production work.
• Working knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL/Aurora); schema design and queries.
• Experience using enterprise AI-assisted development tools with evaluation of outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, data sensitivity, security, and resiliency.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with non-routine problem solving.
• Design and build Python services and APIs; develop UIs with React/TypeScript; integrate LLMs into workflows.
• Work with PostgreSQL/Aurora: schema design, querying, and session management; write tests and ship iteratively.
• Leverage enterprise AI coding tools; ensure outputs meet quality, security, and performance standards.
• Apply SDLC tools and AI-assisted development to improve automation and value.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications; ensure design constraints are met.
• Gather and visualize data for continuous improvement of software applications.
• Identify hidden data patterns to drive improvements in code hygiene and system design.
