Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to advance Python, React, AWS, and AI-powered solutions within the Consumer and Community Banking team. You will be a core technical contributor, delivering secure, scalable software across multiple business functions and driving architectural decisions.

You will guide agile teams, ensure high-quality production code, and champion responsible AI adoption and secure coding practices while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Python, Java, React, AWS and AI.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine approaches.
• Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve stability.
• Leads evaluation sessions with vendors and teams to probe architecture and applicability.
• Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive adoption of new technologies.
• Drives team adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery.
• Applies SDLC tools and AI-assisted development to improve automation.
