Job summary

Canon U.S.A., Inc. in the Phoenix area seeks a Sr. Engineer, Technical Support - Software Automation to provide technical support for software issues on semiconductor equipment.

You will set up and upgrade software at customer sites nationwide and collaborate with customers to configure automation settings and SECS/GEM software compliance. The role requires a engineering degree with 5+ years' experience (Master's preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 5+ years of related experience, or a Master’s degree preferred.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with SECS/GEM automation and semiconductor equipment is a plus.
• Proficiency in SQL, UNIX/Linux, networking, and scripting languages.
• Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and up to 80% during training.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for software issues on semiconductor equipment.
• Set up hardware and install/configure software and drivers; manage setups at customer sites.
• Collaborate with software design teams on automation problems in the field.
• Discuss automation specs (SECS/GEM) with customers and ensure software compliance.
