ASM is seeking a Senior Software Support Engineer in Phoenix, AZ. The role involves investigating, reproducing, and resolving software issues across embedded and control-system software, as well as coordinating with field engineers and QA to ensure robust fixes.

Responsibilities include root-cause analysis, bug reporting, and occasional on-site support at customer facilities. Domestic and international travel of 10–25% is expected.

Competenze

• BS +8 years or MS +4 years in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to read code and diagnose issues.
• Software development or test (QA) experience.
• Ability to travel 10-25% domestic and international.

Mansioni

• Gather information to investigate the issue, reproduce it, determine the root cause, and recommend corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues, including embedded software for control systems.
• Triage and manage escalation calls with field support engineers.
• Create bug reports for the developer to use when fixing the bug.
• Work with QA to add replicated bugs to the regression suite.
• Travel to customer sites to support installations, training, and troubleshooting of ASM products.
• Coordinate with account team and GPS group when investigating reported issues.
• Handle all issues until they are ready to be sent to the developer.
