Job summary

Canon USA is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to provide software-related technical support for semiconductor equipment across customer sites nationwide. Located near Canon facilities with a strong travel requirement, the role blends hands-on hardware/software work with customer-focused problem solving.

You will troubleshoot SECS/GEM automation, configure hardware/software, and coordinate with design teams to optimize automation settings while supporting ongoing deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering plus 5 years of related experience, or a Masters degree in engineering.
• Attention to detail with excellent communication skills.
• Japanese language skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Organize and track computer hardware and software configuration on all products in the field.
• Liaison with local, domestic and overseas software design team regarding software and/or automation related problems in the field
• Set up hardware, install and configure software, drivers and peripheral devices with knowledge of networking components
• Discuss with customers about Semiconductor equipment automation specifications (SECS/GEM Software compliance)
