AgileEngine, LLC. in Orlando, FL is seeking a Software Architect to assess platform architecture and define a target-state design for an FDA-regulated SaaS product.

The role requires 8+ years in mixed-technology stacks (PHP, C++, JS) and strong fundamentals (SOLID, GRASP), with experience in DDD, SaMD, API design, and large-scale refactoring. Mentoring remote teams and ensuring secure CI/CD are key.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• 8+ years experience as Lead Software Architect / Senior technical leader.
• 8+ years in mixed stacks PHP, C++, JS.
• Strong fundamentals: SOLID and GRASP; modern architecture patterns.
• Experience with layered architectures: DDD, ACL, Hexagonal, clean architecture.
• Experience designing SaMD solutions with regulatory compliance.
• Designing APIs, data models, and integration layers in multi-language systems.
• Experience remediating technical debt and large-scale refactors.
• Improve CI/CD, secure, auditable deliveries in private cloud.
• Excellent communication and remote mentoring abilities.
• Independent, proactive, and trustworthy work ethic.

Responsabilités

• Assess current system architecture, data flows, and debt to identify bottlenecks.
• Define target-state architecture aligned with DDD and clean architecture; design data-extraction pipelines.
• Design denormalized storage to speed read-heavy queries with trade-off analysis.
• Develop phased architectural roadmap and refactor legacy components with backward compatibility.
• Establish engineering standards, coding guidelines, and decision frameworks.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership to a mixed-technology team (PHP, C++, JS).
• Improve development workflows, CI/CD, testing, and release processes.
• Mentor and transfer knowledge through reviews and architecture docs.
