Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking an IT Software Developer Advisor SR. to lead a team in the design, development, maintenance, testing and debugging of software.

You will formulate system scope, define project objectives, and ensure adherence to Sedgwick's SDLC guidelines while guiding and training assigned analysts and programmers. The role emphasizes project leadership, collaboration with business sponsors, robust documentation, and ensuring successful completion to meet goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; IS or CS major preferred.
• Nine (9) years of related experience; five (5) years in program development; three (3) years in specialized programming.
• Working knowledge of claims management applications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads design, development, maintenance, testing and debugging of software; ensures SDLC guidelines are followed.
• Oversees creation of system specifications with business users; determines feasibility and scope of projects.
• Defines project scope and objectives; guides development to meet company needs and user feedback.
• Directs other analysts/programmers; assigns, prioritizes and monitors workload; provides training to team.
• Prepares status reports to department manager; ensures on-time project delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Keeps up-to-date with technology changes and project direction.
