Job summary

Rubrik is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Security Operations Center, incl. the FedRAMP environment, directing incident response, detection, monitoring, and strategic AI-enabled SOC initiatives.

You will enhance maturity, expand coverage, and drive a proactive security posture across the organization. You will own the SOC roadmap, align with Threat Operations and Security Engineering, and manage 24/7 operations, metrics, and executive communications.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in security operations, incident response or related field with leadership experience.
• Experience as Incident Manager leading investigations and coordinating teams.
• Experience building/maturing a 24/7 SOC operating model with playbooks and escalations.
• Hands-on detection and response with SIEM/SOAR and ATT&CK knowledge.
• Experience hiring, mentoring and evaluating SOC analysts.
• Ability to report metrics (MTTD/MTTR, coverage) to technical and exec audiences.
• Experience with FedRAMP, SOC 2, ISO 27001 or similar compliance (FedRAMP a strong plus).
• US citizenship is required for FedRAMP responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Direct 24/7 monitoring coverage across shifts and regions.
• Serve as Incident Manager for major security incidents and coordinate cross-team response.
• Drive continuous improvement of SOC processes, playbooks, and escalation procedures.
• Lead AI-enabled SOC strategy: triage, investigation support, and automation.
• Own roadmap for AI-enabled SOC tools and safe internal use of AI.
• Set direction and operating model for a modern SOC including budgeting and staffing.
• Report on metrics like MTTD/MTTR and detection coverage to executives.
