Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Lead Silicon Software and Hardware Integration Engineer to bridge custom silicon architectures with software stacks. You will guide HW/SW integration from pre-silicon planning through silicon bring-up, firmware integration, and system debugging.

You will connect hardware designers, silicon architects, and software teams, leading critical silicon programs with hands-on lab execution and design leadership. This onsite role includes relocation and up to 20% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field.
• 7+ years of experience in signal processing, RF design, or system integration.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and scripting languages like Python.
• Strong understanding of SoC architecture, RF transceivers, and low-level communication protocols (PCIe, I2C, SPI).
• Lab experience with logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and related hardware troubleshooting tools.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership & Planning: Manage HW/SW integration, establish project timelines, and plan resources for silicon programs.
• Hardware Bring-up: Lead initial power-on and bring-up of newly manufactured chips in the lab.
• Integrate HW/FW: Drive hardware and firmware integration on the physical silicon for cohesive system behavior.
• Design & Build Boards: Direct design and build of test boards for silicon bring-up and HW/SW integration.
• Cross-Functional Debug: Collaborate with architects, hardware designers, and software teams to root-cause complex failures.
