Blue Origin seeks a Sr. Manager, Software Integration and Test to lead a team responsible for software integration and testing across multiple programs, coordinating with SIL/HIL, FSW, IPTs, and systems engineering. You will drive test plans, manage budgets, and mentor engineers in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

The role emphasizes people leadership, technical rigor in CI/CD, and collaboration with hardware-in-the-loop and flight software teams to ensure robust software validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software development, integration, or testing within the aerospace industry.
• 2+ years of demonstrated experience in a people management role.
• Proficient in C/C++ development with strong technical prowess.
• Skilled in Python or similar scripting languages.
• In-depth knowledge of real-time operating systems and embedded control systems, including APIs, interfaces, and device drivers.
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as UDP/TCP, I2C, UART, etc.
• Strong understanding of the software development life cycle and testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Exceptionally organized with great written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing software integration and test team.
• Develop and execute SIL test plans and validation plans for test beds.
• Manage project schedules, resources, and budgets to ensure on-time delivery.
• Collaborate closely with HIL, vehicle test, FSW, and systems engineering teams.
• Define, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Report on test progress and risks to program leadership.
