Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Renton, WA is seeking a Hardware/Software Integration Engineer to own test objectives, plans, and execution for MK1 Lunar Lander. You will lead integration across avionics, propulsion, power systems, and other subsystems in the VTB environment and SIL experiments.

You will author and maintain test plans and reports, coordinate interfaces, drive root-cause investigations, and ensure configuration management of artifacts.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, systems engineering, computer science, or related technical degree.
• Experience authoring test plans, procedures, and verification reports.
• Deep understanding of avionics architectures, software interfaces, and HW/SW interaction.

Responsibilities

• Own hardware/software integration scope — define test objectives, test plans and performance criteria for system-level tests and interfaces.
• Lead integration activities for avionics, propulsion, electrical power system, and other vehicle subsystems within MK1 test environments.
• Plan and execute integration test campaigns in the Vehicle Test Bed (VTB) and SIL environments; own readiness and campaign execution from start to close.
• Author and maintain test plans, procedures, and test reports to program standards.
• Coordinate with avionics, software, and subsystem teams to define interface requirements and resolve integration anomalies.
• Track and disposition test discrepancies; drive root cause investigations and corrective actions to closure.
• Maintain configuration control of test artifacts and integration deliverables.
• Support development and continuous improvement of the VTB/HIL test infrastructure.
