Job summary

Serco is seeking a SME Systems Engineer to support classified USAF programs at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. The role focuses on aircraft sub-system integration, airworthiness, and electronic warfare, requiring active TS/SCI with SAP access and a strong DoD systems engineering background.

You will translate user requirements into contract System Requirements Documents, oversee hardware/software development, and present technical briefings while interfacing with government and industry partners.

Qualifications

• Active Top-Secret security clearance with SCI and SAP access
• Masters Degree in an Engineering discipline with 20+ years DoD/government experience
• Minimum 3 years SAP or SCI experience within the last 5 years
• Ability to travel up to 10% (CONUS)

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME in electronic warfare and systems engineering for classified DoD programs
• Translate user requirements into contract system requirements documents
• Oversee hardware/software development, configuration mgmt, data rights and QA
• Develop technical briefings and engineering strategies/analyses
• Interface with contractors, vendors and government reps on engineering activities
• Assess AFRL technology initiatives to guide investments and transitions
• Develop system-of-systems architectures and digital transformation strategies
• Implement airworthiness, risk management and obsolescence tracking
• Evaluate contractor design changes and perform system analyses
• Support all phases of integration and testing with test plans and results
• Assess contractor capabilities to meet design requirements
• Develop RFPs and conduct technical evaluations
