Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Group Product Manager for SMB Accounting to own the core bookkeeping experience within the Wave/Small Business product suite. This role combines hands-on product management with people leadership, guiding a team of Product Managers through strategy, roadmap, and OKRs while balancing usability, accuracy, and regulatory needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, CS, Eng, IS, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Direct experience in small business accounting or tax software space (domain fluency required).
• Proven mobile product experience in SaaS/financial services.
• Deep SaaS product-building experience with focus on financial or business services.
• Identify and leverage AI-enabled capabilities to improve customer experience and velocity.
• Strong people leadership, coaching, and matrix leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the SMB Accounting group.
• Lead a team of Product Managers, manage budgets, and drive OKRs and success metrics.
• Collaborate with Tax and cross-platform teams to unify accounting workflows.
• Evolve the mobile accounting experience and align engineering, design, and business stakeholders.
• Foster continuous discovery practices and data-driven prioritization to deliver measurable impact.
