Job summary

Snowflake is seeking a seasoned U.S. Public Sector attorney to support the SLED team, negotiating complex SaaS and services agreements and guiding regulatory compliance in a high-visibility role based in McLean, VA or Atlanta, GA.

You'll partner with sales, product, engineering, and compliance, advise on government procurement laws, manage the full lifecycle from RFPs to award, and help mitigate risk across data rights, privacy, and export controls.

Qualifications

• +7 years of experience in commercial and SLED transactional work.
• Expertise in government procurement frameworks and contracting vehicles.
• Excellent contract negotiation, drafting, and risk assessment skills.
• Experience with export controls, cybersecurity requirements, and regulatory compliance in government contracting.
• Outstanding organizational, project management, and prioritization abilities.
• Ability to operate strategically and tactically in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Collaborative, service-oriented mindset with strong integrity.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiation, drafting, and management of U.S. SLED agreements (SaaS, PSAs, SOWs, partner agreements).
• Advise on U.S. State and Local government procurement laws and regulations.
• Support the full government sales lifecycle, including reviewing RFPs/RFIs and risk identification.
• Partner cross-functionally with sales, product, engineering, finance, and compliance to align deals with business objectives.
• Advise on data rights, IP, privacy, cybersecurity, export controls, ethics and conflicts of interest.
• Monitor and interpret changes in laws and industry practices; proactively advise the business.
• Drive process improvements and leverage technology to enhance legal support for high-growth sales.
