Job summary

SAFCO in Pompano Beach, FL is seeking an experienced Skip Tracer/Deficiency Collector for our auto finance portfolio. You will locate hard-to-find customers, negotiate resolutions, and drive recoveries to resolve delinquent accounts.

This onsite role requires mastery of skip-tracing tools, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to work within FDCPA and company standards. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, and you will partner with vendors and recovery agents to maximize recoveries.

Qualifications

• Auto finance skip tracing or collections experience is required.
• Experience with non-prime portfolios and complex recovery accounts.
• Strong understanding of repossession, deficiency, and recovery processes.
• Ability to locate and engage difficult-to-reach customers.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Locate hard-to-find customers using skip-tracing tools and investigative techniques.
• Manage delinquent and deficiency accounts through inbound and outbound communication.
• Negotiate repayment arrangements, settlements, and voluntary surrenders.
• Coordinate with recovery agents and national forwarding companies.
• Manage repossession and recovery activity with outside vendors.
• Meet outbound-call, recovery, and performance targets.
• Maintain accurate account documentation and records.
• Follow FDCPA requirements and company compliance standards.
• Develop solutions for complex accounts that resisted prior efforts.
