Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Sacramento, CA, seeks a Senior Site Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Manager to partner with site operations, ensuring compliance with local and regional regulations while leading continuous improvement to reduce ergonomic and safety risks for associates.

You will build and lead a team of safety professionals, train operations leadership in EHS policy, and provide clear, data-driven safety insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of increasing responsibilities in safety/environmental programs.
• 7+ years of people and performance management experience.
• Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in operations.
• Willingness to work varied shifts including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME of local/regional regulations and company WHS policy.
• Provide guidance to ensure compliance with Safety Policies.
• Measure site performance and develop improvement plans for deficiencies.
• Maintain safety records and provide accurate metrics for safety initiatives.
• Lead on-time, quality safety projects with Operations.
• Deep dive safety metrics and incident trends to allocate resources.
• Audit records and training to ensure compliance with global standards.
• Mentor Safety Managers and Safety Associates at the site.
• Drive long-term actions with IPS and Site Leadership to reduce incidents.
• Conduct Kaizen events with Operations to address high-risk tasks.
