Job summary

Amazon in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Senior Site Workplace Health and Safety Manager to partner with site operations and execute WHS policies, ensuring compliance with local regulations and continuous improvement to reduce risk.

You will lead a team of Safety Managers, train leadership, and drive data-driven insights, Kaizen events, and incident trend analysis, communicating clearly across cross-functional teams and to Sr. Leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 7+ years safety/environmental programs experience.
• 7+ years people and performance management experience.
• Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends to support site needs.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME of local/regional regulations and company WHS policy.
• Provide guidance to ensure compliance with Amazon Safety Policies.
• Measure site performance against safety requirements and fix deficiencies.
• Maintain safety records and provide accurate reporting and metrics.
