Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Senior Site Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Manager for our California operations. You will partner with site operations to implement WHS policies, drive risk assessments, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce ergonomic and safety risks for associates.

You will build and coach a team of safety professionals, train operations leadership, and ensure compliance with global standards and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7+ years in safety/environment programs in manufacturing, production or service operations.
• 7+ years of people and performance management.
• Experience applying lean principles in operations.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME of local/regional regulations and company WHS policy.
• Provide guidance to ensure compliance with Amazon Safety Policies.
• Measure site performance and develop corrective plans for deficiencies.
• Maintain safety records and provide reliable reporting and metrics.
• Lead safety initiatives and Kaizen events with Operations teams.
• Develop and mentor Safety Managers and Safety Associates at the site.
