Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Senior Site Workplace Health and Safety Manager to partner with site operations to execute WHS policies and ensure compliance with local and regional regulations. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean and Kaizen, mentor Safety Managers and Associates, and drive data-driven safety decisions across shifts and sites.

Strong communication and leadership are essential, along with a Bachelor's degree and 7+ years in safety or environmental

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 7+ years in safety/environmental programs.
• 7+ years in people and performance management.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME of local/regional regulations and company WHS policy.
• Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance with all applicable Amazon Safety Policies.
• Measure site performance against published requirements in safety policies and fix deficiencies.
• Ensure safety record keeping and data integrity with accurate reporting and metrics.
• Deliver on-time and quality projects to Operations.
• Deep dive safety metrics and review incident trends to justify resource allocation.
• Audit record-keeping practices and Global Safety Database entries for compliance.
• Audit workplace organization and associate behaviors for training and scoring accuracy.
• Manage and mentor Safety Managers and Safety Associates at the site.
• Engage Injury Prevention Specialists and Site Leadership to drive long-term safety actions.
• Perform targeted Kaizen events with Operations teams based on task risks.
• Ensure site leadership and associates are trained and aware of policies.
• Audit safety training delivery and trainer qualifications for effectiveness.
• Review deployed safety tools and revise for continual improvement.
• Partner with corporate and regional safety personnel to adopt best practices.
