Job summary

Harkins Builders is seeking a Lead Superintendent to lead on-site execution from start to close on multifamily, government, and commercial projects in Washington, DC. The role requires coordinating with owners, managing schedules, and ensuring quality and safety across teams.

The ideal candidate has a four-year construction degree and at least five years of progressive field experience, with strong leadership, communication, and PM skills, plus proficiency with Procore and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in construction-related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years of progressive ground-up or rehabilitation construction.
• Strong leadership and training ability.
• Knowledge of PM, estimating, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.
• Ability to interpret plans and contract documents.
• Excellent communication and client relations.
• Proficient with Procore and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead site team from start to project close with owner liaison.
• Ensure understanding of contract scope by site team.
• Develop and maintain baseline production schedule.
• Administer and monitor Quality Control Plan.
• Administer subcontracts and invoices for correct payments.
• Maintain safe working environment.
• Manage and develop site personnel.
• Uphold professional integrity in dealings.
• Foster positive company image and community relations.
