Harkins Builders, Inc. is seeking a Lead Superintendent to drive onsite leadership for multifamily, senior living, government, and commercial projects in the Baltimore/Washington DC area.

You will oversee safety, quality, subcontractor coordination, and schedule adherence, while maintaining strong owner relations and a professional company image. Competitive compensation and robust benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in construction-related field or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of progressive ground-up or rehab construction experience.
• Ability to lead, coach, and train team members.
• Strong knowledge of project management, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret plans and contract documents.
• Ability to resolve issues with clients and subcontractors professionally.
• Familiarity with subcontracts and bid language; cost-plus GMP knowledge helpful.
• Experience with scheduling logic and coordinating resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead site team from start through project close as liaison with owner.
• Ensure contract scope is understood by site management.
• Create and maintain baseline production schedule.
• Administer and maintain a Quality Control Plan.
• Manage subcontracts and purchase contracts; review invoices for payment.
• Ensure a safe working environment on site.
• Supervise and evaluate site personnel; foster positive team culture.
• Maintain professionalism and integrity in all contacts.
• Promote the company's image through fair business relationships and community service.
