Job summary

ASRC Industrial Services (AIS) is seeking a Site Safety Manager to oversee safety programs for construction and industrial services projects. You will develop policies, conduct audits, and lead training to protect employees and contractors while ensuring compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.

You will collaborate with project teams, manage incident investigations, and maintain records, striving for continuous safety improvements across diverse sites and federal design-build programs.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in safety programs and site safety management.
• Safety management on at least two federal design-build projects with a total construction cost of $5 million or more.
• Strong familiarity with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 construction safety regs.
• Experience with heavy civil/horizontal construction (excavation, earth moving, heavy concrete, underground utilities).
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance for access to secured facilities (military bases).
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and related safety regulations.
• Familiarity with safety management systems and software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Ability to lead and facilitate safety training sessions and meetings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail to enforce safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and risks in the workplace.
• Collaborate with project managers and supervisors to embed safety into project plans and activities.
• Provide safety training and orientation to employees and contractors on PPE and safe work practices.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare detailed corrective-action reports.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training, incidents, and communications.
• Conduct job hazard analyses to identify risks for specific tasks or sites.
• Monitor and evaluate safety programs; implement corrective actions to improve effectiveness.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory changes; liaise with regulatory agencies and clients.
• Lead and participate in safety training sessions and meetings to foster a safety culture.
