Job summary

AIS Infrastructure is seeking a Site Safety Manager to protect the well-being of all employees and contractors on our construction and industrial projects. The role requires implementing safety standards, performing inspections, and coordinating with project teams to embed safety into daily work.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in safety programs, OSHA expertise, and the ability to obtain security clearance; CSP/CHST certifications are preferred. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in safety programs and site safety management.
• Safety management on at least 2 federal design-build projects ($5M+ total).
• Familiarity with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 construction regs.
• Experience with heavy civil/horizontal construction projects.
• Ability to obtain/maintain security clearance.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and related regs.
• Familiarity with safety management systems/software.
• Strong construction and industrial safety knowledge.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead safety training sessions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and enforce safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with regulations.
• Conduct safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and risks.
• Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety measures into plans.
• Provide safety training and orientation to employees and contractors.
• Investigate accidents and incidents and prepare reports with corrective actions.
• Maintain records of inspections, training, incidents, and communications.
• Conduct job hazard analyses for tasks and sites.
• Monitor safety program effectiveness and implement improvements.
• Stay up-to-date with industry safety practices and regulatory changes.
• Collaborate with regulatory agencies, clients, and stakeholders to ensure compliance.
