Job summary

Clayco is seeking a Site Safety Manager to support safety program development and ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local requirements. You will lead safety initiatives, conduct weekly inspections, and coach workers on safe practices across multiple projects.

The role demands 10+ years of field safety experience, OSHA certifications, and strong leadership. Travel is required to support nationwide clients and projects. A bachelor’s degree in Safety or related field is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent.
• 6-12 years of safety experience in building construction.
• 10+ years of field experience minimum.
• OSHA 30-hour construction accreditation.
• OSHA 500 Outreach Trainer is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of the project safety program.
• Conduct jobsite orientations for new project employees and record participation.
• Attend initial meetings to define roles within the safety program.
• Manage larger projects up to $160M and interface with clients.
• Supervise other Clayco Safety Supervisors on the project.
• Lead site safety meetings with subcontractors and project staff.
• Provide training to site personnel and ensure OSHA/Clayco compliance.
• Maintain safety records and conduct regular inspections.
• Investigate incidents and generate proper reports.
• Stop unsafe acts immediately and coordinate corrective actions.
