Job summary

Clayco, a full-service real estate development and construction firm, is seeking a Site Safety Manager for projects in Phoenix, AZ. You will support project staff and the safety team in executing corporate safety standards across nationwide clients, focusing on building a zero-injury culture and proactive safety initiatives.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Safety or related field, 6–12 years of safety experience in construction, 10+ years field experience, OSHA 30, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety or related field required; strong knowledge of safety/environment principles.
• 6–12 years of safety experience in building construction or related field.
• 10+ years of field experience preferred.
• OSHA 30-hour Construction accreditation required.
• OSHA 500 Outreach Trainer is a plus.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to train and coach teams.
• Ability to navigate active construction sites and perform required safety tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of the project safety program.
• Establish and conduct jobsite orientation for new employees; record participation.
• Attend initial project meetings to define safety roles and responsibilities.
• Manage safety supervision on projects up to $160M.
• Interface with clients and coordinate with subcontractors on safety matters.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and daily/weekly inspections on site.
• Facilitate safety training per OSHA/Clayco standards; ensure proper records.
