Job summary

Woolpert seeks a Site Civil Engineer (PE) to join our Land Development Engineering team in Philadelphia. You will lead design efforts for site layouts, utilities, stormwater, and earthwork, mentoring junior staff and coordinating with project teams.

This role requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, a PE license, and 7+ years of related experience. Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and related analysis tools is essential. Strong client service and communication skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of related experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience in Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Experience in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Autodesk Vehicle Tracking and Storm and Sanitary Analysis software packages, PondPack, and Microsoft Suite products.
• Hydraulics and Hydrology knowledge preferred.
• Must be able to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries from clients, regulatory agencies, and/or members of the business community.
• Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to provide excellent client service.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and create site layout plans in alignment with client requirements and Woolpert standards.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop concept plans, grading plans, and site designs.
• Provide technical support and lead site/civil design, hydrology/hydraulics, erosion and sedimentation control, and stormwater management
• Coordinate permitting with County and local municipalities. Experience with local municipalities is a plus.
• Multi-task, appropriately prioritize workflow and complete tasks.
• Work with project management team to identify impediments and develop / implement solutions to overcome obstacles.
• Perform pavement assessments and compiling data and reports
• Occasional field work, frequent local travel, and overnight travel as needed
• Other duties as assigned
