Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer – EO/IR or RF Signal Processing to join the PG&C Center in Tucson, AZ. You will design, develop, prototype, integrate, test, and assess algorithms used to extract and fuse sensor data across missile systems.

Qualified candidates have a STEM degree, 5+ years in signal processing, and the ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance. This onsite role offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 5+ years in signal processing.
• Experience in EO/IR, RF, sonar, or acoustic domains.
• Proficient in C/C++ or similar OOP languages; MATLAB/Python helpful.
• Ability to obtain an Interim Secret security clearance prior to start.
• Strong collaboration across multiple engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and validate signal processing algorithms for EO/IR and RF domains.
• Integrate algorithms into hardware and support live-fire testing.
• Create and modify simulations for design and performance assessment.
• Mentor peers and contribute to design reviews and briefings.
• Collaborate with Guidance, Navigation, and Control, Software, and Systems teams.
