Job summary

RTX’s Systems Engineering team in Tucson, AZ, is seeking a Systems Engineer II – Signal Processing to design, develop, and validate signal processing algorithms used across missile systems programs. The role emphasizes RF/EO/IR processing, sensor fusion, and hardware integration in an on-site environment.

The ideal candidate has a STEM degree, 2+ years of related experience, and practical coding skills in C/C++, and Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with C or OOP with C++, C#, or Java.
• Experience with algorithm design, implementation, analysis, testing, or optimization.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Interim Secret security clearance prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, prototype, integrate, test, and assess RF/EO/IR signal processing algorithms.
• Modify simulations for design, prototyping, integration, testing, and performance assessment of algorithms and models.
• Test and validate sensor models and algorithms in labs per requirements.
• Integrate algorithms into hardware and support development through start-up to live-fire testing; participate in reviews.
