Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ seeks a Principal Systems Engineer – EO/IR or RF Signal Processing to design, prototype, test, and optimize signal processing algorithms and models used across missile systems programs.

Onsite role requiring 8+ years in EO/IR or RF, proficiency in C/C++, MATLAB or Python, and the ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance; mentoring colleagues and integrating algorithms into hardware are key duties. Relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM and minimum 8 years of experience.
• Signal processing experience in EO/IR or RF domains.
• Experience with C, C++, C#, or Java.
• Experience with algorithm design, implementation, analysis, testing, and optimization.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Act with advanced to expert knowledge of signal processing to support complex missile systems objectives.
• Use and modify simulations for design, development, prototyping, integration, testing, and performance assessment of signal processing algorithms.
• Participate in engineering labs to test, verify, and validate sensor models and signal processing performance.
• Focus on integration of algorithms into hardware and collaborate across development phases from start-up to live-fire testing.
• Mentor multiple team members and share knowledge.
