Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ, is seeking a Systems Engineer II – Signal Processing to join the Processing, Guidance and Controls (PG&C) Center. You will collaborate in design, development, prototyping, integration, testing, and performance assessment of RF or EO/IR signal processing algorithms and models for missile systems programs.

The role is onsite in Tucson and requires a Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with at least 2 years of relevant experience, plus the ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of relevant prior experience.
• Experience with the C programming language, or Object‑Oriented Programming with the C++, C#, or Java programming languages.
• Experience with algorithm design, implementation, analysis, testing, or optimization.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret U.S. government issued Security Clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain special program access after start.

Responsibilities

• Support development, execution, and completion of missile systems program objectives.
• Use and modify simulations for design, development, prototyping, integration, testing, and performance assessment of signal processing algorithms and models.
• Participate in engineering lab environments to test, verify, and validate sensor models and signal processing algorithm performance.
• Focus on integration of algorithms into hardware and collaboration across development phases from start-up to live-fire testing.
