Job summary

Rivian is seeking an experienced signal integrity and power integrity engineer to join our California team. You will work with design and layout engineers to optimize SI/PI performance at die, package and system levels, validating results in lab environments and correlating with simulations.

The role requires a strong EM/ transmission line background, hands-on analysis using industry tools, and scripting in Matlab or Python. A PhD is preferred but not required for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• M.S. degree in EE or related field with relevant industry experience.
• Strong EE fundamentals and problem-solving ability.
• Strong background in EM theory and transmission line.
• Familiarity with signal integrity and power integrity for high-speed SerDes and interfaces.
• Hands-on SI/PI analysis using EM and circuit simulators (HFSS, SIWave, Q2D, ADS, Spectre, Sigrity).
• Experience with scripting in Matlab, Python or Perl.
• Proven track record of integrating AI into methodologies to boost productivity.
• Experience with measurement tools: VNA, spectrum analyzer, TDR, oscilloscope.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design engineers to optimize SI/PI at die, package and system levels.
• Validate SI/PI performance in lab and correlate with simulations.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in SI/PI design.
• Support engineering teams across SOC, physical design, and system design to improve outcomes.
