Qualifications

• BA/BS degree preferred in business or engineering.
• 2+ years manufacturing experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong verbal & interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work well in group situations.
• Ability to deal effectively with conflict in a mature & consistent manner.
• Good computer skills; SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all activities on a production shift to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality.
• Typically supervises 40+ employees.
• Coordinate with Scheduler to meet daily production requirements.
• Interview, hire and train employees.
• Plan, assign and direct work.
• Appraise performance and provide feedback.
• Reward and discipline employees as needed.
• Address complaints and resolve problems.
• Ensure production data is gathered and reported daily.
• Support and improve upon quality initiatives to meet plant goals.
• Ensure safety programs are implemented effectively and reviewed regularly.
