Job summary

Novolex is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a production shift, drive efficiency and maintain quality across operations. The role involves supervising a team of over 40 employees, coordinating with the scheduler, and ensuring timely production while upholding safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS degree preferred, 2+ years manufacturing experience, strong communication and teamwork skills, and a track record in supervising staff and managing data reporting.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree preferred; business or engineering focus.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work well in group situations.
• Ability to deal effectively with conflict in a mature and consistent manner.
• Good computer skills.
• SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage, direct and coordinate all activities on a production shift to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality.
• Typically supervises 40+ employees.
• Coordinate with Scheduler to meet daily production requirements.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring and training employees.
• Plan, assign and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees.
• Address complaints and resolve problems.
• Ensure production data is gathered and reported daily.
• Support and improve quality initiatives to meet plant goals.
• Ensure safety programs are implemented and reviewed regularly.
