Job summary

Novolex is seeking a Production Shift Leader to develop high-performance teams in a manufacturing plant and ensure the team's execution of standard work aligned with Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost goals.

The role emphasizes engagement, adherence to OSHA guidelines, and coaching of employees to improve performance while collaborating with HR and plant management to meet objectives.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a technical field or in business preferred.
• Five (5) years of manufacturing experience and/or three (3) years of leadership experience preferred.
• Willing to work 6:30pm-6:30am on a 2-2-3 schedule.
• Ability to lead by example and foster a high-performance team culture.
• Strong engagement and communication with HR, safety, and quality systems

Responsibilities

• Partner with HR in hiring, training and performance management process for hourly workers on the shift.
• Oversees and manages the new hire training process, and ensures that new hire training is completed to a satisfactory level.
• Leads performance management and development to improve employee effectiveness and morale.
• Prioritizes and assigns tasks and performs assessments of daily work area to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Drives continual improvement and problem solving at the front-line level and manages resources to optimize team performance.
