Job summary

WillScot in Long Beach, CA, is hiring for an experienced Set-Up Technician/Supervisor to install, modify, and service modular units across the region.

You will anchor, level, seam and deck units, perform building knock-down, and coordinate with the branch manager on customer modifications. A valid license and strong carpentry skills are required. WillScot offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; good communication with customers and contractors.
• Current, valid license required.
• Minimum of 7 years set-up and knockdown experience.
• Carpentry skills and familiarity with construction trades.
• Previous management experience or ability to direct others is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up units including anchoring, leveling, seaming, decks, skirting, and footing work.
• Disassemble and remove buildings, secure shipments, and prepare site for turnover.
• Provide service work on customer units on the road (skirting, electrical, plumbing).
• Implement customer modifications as directed by the branch manager.
• Complete daily paperwork: leases, inspection sheets, driver logs; submit to manager.
• Maintain safe operation of trucks; perform pre-trip and DOT inspections.
• Ensure tools and equipment are in good condition.
• Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations.
