Job summary

County of Imperial is seeking an Information and Assistance Coordinator to develop a comprehensive network of referrals and coordinate services for seniors in the county. This position supports compliance with the California Department of Aging and Older Americans Act

Qualifications

• Sixty semester units from an accredited college with major coursework in health, gerontology, psychology, social sciences or related field.
• Two years of community service, social work or related experience.
• Valid California driver’s license.
• Pre-employment drug test, physical exam and fingerprinting may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive network of referrals to address seniors' needs.
• Plan and implement outreach programs, meetings, and informational items.
• Assess individual senior needs and refer to appropriate service entities.
• Ensure compliance with California Aging Act requirements and monitor services.
